How we are organized
The Toronto Early Intervention in Psychosis Network is led by a Steering Committee comprised of representatives from each member organization. The Steering Committee serves as the Network's governing body and as such provides direction and advice to the Network's lead agency, the Canadian Mental Health Association, Toronto Branch (CMHA). The Network's Steering Committee is responsible for:
- Establishing the Network's overall direction and areas of focus
- Providing on-going direction to the Network's lead agency in its role as day-to-day administrator of the Network
- Establishing the process(es) to be used to access Network services
- Providing input to and approving the annual budget and operating plan for the Network
- Monitoring the financial management and administration of the Network
- Reviewing regular statistical reports on the operation of the Network
- Identifying and addressing policy and operational issues in accordance with the Network's established dispute resolution process
- Ensuring that there is an annual review and evaluation of the Network
- Reporting to the member organizations, relevant Local Health Integration Networks, Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and other key stakeholders on the operation of the Network on at least an annual basis
Each Network member organization has a Memorandum of Understanding with CMHA (as the Network's lead agency) that outlines the organization's roles and responsibilities in relation to the Network.
The Network does much of its work through Sub-Committees and task-focused groups. The Network has four (4) standing Sub-Committees which include the:
- Assessment and Treatment Sub-Committee
- Education Sub-Committee
- Research and Evaluation Sub-Committee
- Family Network
