What we are working on
TEIPN members are working together to ensure that that collectively, as a system, we meet or exceed the Ontario Government's program policy framework directions and policy standards for early intervention services and systems. More specifically, TEIPN members are currently working together to:
- Develop and implement a "no wrong door" access system with clearly defined roles for and well-established linkages among centralized, local, general and specialized early intervention services
- Develop and implement a public education strategy that is targeted at identifiers of early psychosis, leverages existing relationships and networks and that is staged over time so as to allow the system to be able to meet any incremental generated demand for early intervention services and supports
- Provide individualized, culturally competent, comprehensive packages of assessment, treatment, psychosocial support and family education and support services to consumers and family members
- Support the planning, implementation and exchange of knowledge regarding program and network/system evaluation and on-going research into the causes, treatment and recovery factors of early psychosis
- As a Network, demonstrate considerable progress toward the targets and outcomes established by the Network
- Advocate for and establish and maintain the infrastructure needed to support continuous improvement of the system over time
